Key Barcelona quartet set to be benched against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League.

Barcelona have made an unbeaten start to the new season, winning three of their four matches so far

When they face Viktoria Plzen in their first UEFA Champions League match of the season, they will want to keep the momentum going.

Xavi Hernandez, manager of Barcelona, has said that he would begin rotating his players beginning with the forthcoming midweek game, which will take place on Wednesday night at Spotify Camp Nou and is part of Group B.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Xavi will be resting four starters against Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday.

Eric Garcia and Ronald Araujo, two defenders, Gavi, a gifted midfielder, and Ousmane Dembele, an exciting young forward, round up the quartet.

The coaching staff at Barcelona believes the foursome might benefit from being pulled out of the lineup and given some time off in the next game since they are among a small group of players who have started each of Barcelona's first four La Liga matches this season.
So far this season, Eric Garcia has been outstanding for his team. On Saturday against Sevilla, he scored his first goal at the professional level. However, not long after that, the 21-year-old started complaining of pain.

As he himself has assured us, there is no need for alarm at this time. Nonetheless, he and his girlfriend Araujo will soon be allowed to relax. It's expected that Andreas Christensen and Gerard Pique will start against Viktoria Plzen.

Given his style of play and the physical endurance he put in against Sevilla last weekend, the 18-year-old may benefit from some downtime. The adolescent star might be replaced by Frenkie de Jong.

Without Dembele, either Ansu Fati or Ferran Torres might start up top for the Champions League game.

Three additional players, Robert Lewandowski, Pedri, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, have started all four games for Barcelona thus far and are set to continue in the starting XI.
