Connecting with FaceTime on iOS 15

Fantastic Features on the Updated Apple App

Apple has updated the iPhone Operating System (OS) to include new features that will help you stay connected in more ways than ever before. Among other updates with the iOS 15 is FaceTime video and audio calling app.

You can use video calling for just about everything. FaceTime is the gold standard when it comes to making easy, spontaneous calls and connecting with the people who matter most.

FaceTime has had an incredibly intuitive design and end-to-end encryption since day one. End-to-end encryption is not only on the app but also applicable if you are using the web version. That way, your privacy is not compromised. FaceTime allows you to keep in touch with friends and family members all over the world while you are separated.

FaceTime on iOS 15 has been updated to make it more natural, comfortable, and realistic to use.

FaceTime with Spatial Audio:

FaceTime's Spatial Audio feature makes it sound as if you and your contact are in the same room. It creates a quiet environment in which you can converse with your contact as easily as if you were talking face to face.

New Options for Your Microphone With FaceTime:

Voice Isolation:

When you're on a FaceTime call, your microphone picks up a lot of noise. So, Voice Isolation machine learning distinguishes these sounds, blocks out the ambient noise, and prioritizes your voice, making it crystal clear.

Wide Spectrum:

When you want every bit of sound to come through, however, you should switch to Wide Spectrum. In Wide Spectrum, you want to pick up the entire symphony of sound; your voice, and everything around you.

Grid View:

Grid View allows you to see everything in the room. That ultimately gives you another way to view your group FaceTime call. You can easily identify everyone in your group, who is speaking, and how they are reacting because everyone is displayed in the same size tiles.

Portrait Mode:

Portrait mode enhances the beauty of your video capture while on the phone. FaceTime naturally blurs out the background and puts the focus on you, thanks to Apple's portrait mode, which was inspired by the stunning photos taken with the iPhone.

FaceTime Links:

You can schedule your FaceTime call. Now you can generate a link for FaceTime calls and share it anywhere. It is an amazing way to plan for calls.

Once you've created the links, you can send them through Messages, Emails, WhatsApp, and other platforms. You can even add it to your calendar and create an event so that everyone knows where and when to meet.

Users with devices other than Apple can now join you on a FaceTime call using the link you created. Friends with Android and Microsoft devices can join you on a call. They can use their FaceTime link to join the call from their browser.

SharePlay:

FaceTime's SharePlay feature allows users to share their experiences with others. It is an outstanding set of new features on FaceTime.

With SharePlay’s fantastic features, you can-

They'll be able to listen to music together.

Watch movies and TV shows with your friends in real-time.

You can share your screen with unlimited possibilities, such as bringing in apps amid your conversation.

SharePlay is unlike any other shared content experience out there.

Picture-in-picture allows you to see what you and your friends are watching at the same time, and controls are always a tap away.

If the group wants to stay connected without interruptions to the call, you can jump to Messages and keep the conversation going there.

When using SharePlay from multiple devices, everyone on the call remains in sync.

With an in-built API, developers can easily integrate their apps into SharePlay.

Apple has reached an agreement with other content providers such as Disney Plus to allow users to watch blockbuster movies, popular TV shows on Hulu, and HBOmax originals. That way, you can have an unforgettable experience with your friends and family.

SharePlay also has a screen-sharing feature that lets you browse millions of listings and share them with your friends. You can also use the feature to respond to questions from callers.

The majority of the time, SharePlay on FaceTime works well across devices.
