The stadium's location may be discovered on Google Maps.

Located two miles north of the city center, Anfield is in the core of the Anfield neighborhood. Goodison Park, Everton's home ground, is less than a half-mile away from Liverpool's Stanley Park.

Driving
After crossing Walton Hall Park on your right, turn left into Queens Drive after four miles on the A580 toward the city. On Utting Avenue, take a right at the traffic lights and keep going until you reach the stadium on the right-hand side.

Alternatively, if you're coming from the south or east, use the M62 to the A5058 Queens Drive exit. Continuing on Utting Avenue, continue till you see the ground on your right after three kilometers of staying on the A5058.

Bus
Take bus 17 from Queens Square bus station, which is virtually just across the street from Liverpool Lime Street railway station, in the city center, if you're using public transit. As an alternative, you may board bus 26 or 27 from Paradise Street or bus 917 from St. John's Lane. The stadium is accessible by all buses.

Train
Getting to Anfield by rail is also a possibility; Sandhills, Bank Hill, and Kirkdale are all within a half-hour walk of the stadium.

How long ago was Anfield built??
In 1884, Everton utilized Anfield until a disagreement over rent forced them to move to Goodison Park, where they remain today. In 1892, the newly created Liverpool Football Club relocated to Anfield.

It was only three years later that the stadium saw a number of changes, including the building of Spion Kop, which was completed a decade after the stadium opened. The Kop end was then enlarged in 1928.

Later, as part of stadium upgrades from 1963 to 1973, the original Main Stand was demolished and replaced with a new one. In 1994, Anfield was converted into a stadium with no standing room only.

A new stadium with a capacity of 60,000 was even approved for Stanley Park near Anfield by Liverpool officials in the late 2000s as an alternative to the aging Anfield. A lack of funds forced the postponement and ultimate abandonment of the project. Redeveloping and expanding Anfield instead was the decision of the owners.

What is the capacity of Anfield?
With a current seating capacity of 54,074, Anfield ranks as England's sixth biggest stadium. But in 1958, Liverpool's game versus Wolves attracted a record-breaking 61,905 fans.

In the wake of the Hillsborough stadium catastrophe, Anfield was made an all-seater stadium in 1994, reducing the stadium's overall capacity.

However, in January of 2015, Anfield's capacity was increased by 8,500 seats when the main stand was rebuilt, and the renovation was finished in time for the 2016-2017 season.

Anfield hosts the following groups.
Since 1892, Liverpool have been the only tenants of Anfield.

Many international friendlies have been staged at Anfield, including a 2-1 win against Uruguay in 2006, when England beat the South Americans.

After being prevented from playing their first two home league games of the 1971–72 season at Old Trafford owing to a hooliganism incident, Manchester United played their first home game of the season at Anfield. Arsenal lost 3–1 against Manchester United.

One of them was the quarter-final match between France and the Netherlands, which was won on penalties by France.

Is Anfield a venue for live music performances and other events?
Liverpool's European capital of culture festivities included a performance including The Zutons, Kaiser Chiefs, and Paul McCartney, which drew 36,000 people to Anfield.

Take That, Bon Jovi, and Pink will play at Anfield during the summer of 2019 as part of the stadium's comeback to live music. 'You'll Never Walk Alone' is the club's song, and Take That lead singer Gary Barlow enlisted the services of guest vocalist Gerry Marsden.

A number of boxing contests were held at Liverpool's stadium during the interwar period, including a featherweight world championship battle in which Liverpool's Nel Tarleton defeated American Freddie Miller to win the title.

Several rugby matches have also taken place at Anfield, notably the 2016 Rugby League Four Nations Final, which saw Australia defeat New Zealand in front of 40,042 fans.

Can you take a tour of Anfield?
Liverpool's 'Boom Room' display depicts the tale of Liverpool's first league championship triumph under Jurgen Klopp, 30 years after their previous.

Adult tickets are £23 and child tickets are $14.

Tours are offered daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., except on days when a game is being played.
