Xavi Hernandez showed just how relentlessly demanding he is during Barcelona's rout of Real Madrid

Barcelona trounced Real Madrid 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday evening, and Xavi Hernandez was mercilessly demanding of his players until the final minute.

It was Xavi's first Clasico as manager, and he was determined to make a good first impression. It was a brilliant move to start Ronald Araujo at right-back to limit Vinicius Junior, and he used Frenkie de Jong in a role that brought out the best in him.

Following Madrid's comeback victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League this month, Xavi was caught in a rage after a loose ball, knowing that 90 minutes is a long time at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Barcelona is now 12 points behind La Liga leaders Real Madrid in the table, but since Xavi took over from Ronald Koeman, they have a better points-per-game average than Los Blancos. Under the current administration, they're on a strong upward trajectory.
