After having a third offer for Mason Mount rejected by Chelsea, Manchester United has moved its focus to Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.

United may shift their attention to Caicedo once Chelsea turns down their £55 million offer for Mount.

WHAT OCCURED? United's chase of Mount has reached a new low after a bid of £55 million ($70m) was turned down. According to The Daily Mail, they have decided to pursue Brighton midfielder Caicedo rather than Mount.

The Seagulls are reportedly asking for more than £80m ($102m) for Caicedo, but the Ecuadorian still has four years left on his contract, so he might end up being cheaper than Mount in the long run.

WHAT'S MORE, Brighton reportedly turned down a £60m ($76m) offer from Chelsea earlier this month, despite the fact that the Blues were widely believed to be leading the battle for Caicedo's signing.
