At the AFN Golden League in Benin City, which will take place today and tomorrow, the athletes will, among other things, have the opportunity to compete in the relay qualification battles for the 4x100m (male and female), 4x400m (male and female), and the mixed 4x400 relay. These competitions will be held today and tomorrow.

On Monday, the national camp was disbanded so that the athletes could compete in the Golden League in Benin City. Good luck to them everyone! "I am looking forward to an explosive event in Benin City because the athletes who have been in the national camp will want to prove why they were picked, while athletes coming from the various states will want to displace them," AFN's Head Coach Seigha Porbeni said in an interview with The Guardian yesterday, ahead of today's Golden League event.

He divulged the information that there are 32 athletes and eight coaches participating in the event to represent Team Delta.

In the meantime, all eyes will be on Samuel Ogazi as he competes in the 400-meter race in an effort to improve upon his time of 45.91 seconds. At the AFN Golden League, which took place in Abuja, the star athlete from Kaduna competed for Dynamic Athletics Club.

Tonobok Okowa, the President of the AFN, has challenged the athletes to utilise the Golden League that is being held in Benin City to enhance their performances so that they can be a member of Team Nigeria at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest in 2023.
