‘I’m not going anywhere’ – Chelsea and Man United target wants to stay put at Barcelona

It's easy to see why Barcelona's players are reluctant to abandon Xavi's idea after they finally won the Spanish league title after several seasons of trying.

Although they have cooled off in their most recent games, the Catalans have been dominant at home during the 2022/23 season.

They have only allowed seven goals all season long in the league before lately, which would have shattered all previous defensive records.

Since they have been coasting on their championship, Marc-Andre ter Stegen may only have the record for most clean sheets in a season to go for.

He needs two more to break the record set by Francisco Liano of Deportivo in 1993/94. Liano now has 25.

With only 18, Liano set a new record for fewest goals allowed in a single Spanish league season. According to WhoScored, nine of Barca's sixteen surrendered goals have occurred in their previous six matches.

The defense has been sturdy, and Jules Kounde has done his share to help his team win a trophy they've been without for far too long.

It had been suggested that Kounde may be allowed to leave the club because of the high transfer fee he would bring in, which would help alleviate Barca's financial woes.

Sport stated that both Manchester United and Chelsea were interested, but the Frenchman sent a clear message to both teams.

On Twitter, he stated, "To make it clear: at no time did I ask to leave, so I'm not going anywhere."
