Tierney might join Manchester City this summer.

As the 2022/23 season comes to a close and Arsenal dust themselves down and try to get over the likely disappointment of losing out on the title to Man City, the Gunners will reflect on the campaign and then get on with business so they’re ready to do it all over again after this summer.

After the 2022/23 season concludes, Arsenal will pick themselves up, probably be disappointed that they didn't win the title, and then get down to work in order to be ready to do it all over again the following summer.

According to Football Transfers, Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta are both considering a swap of Joao Cancelo and Kieran Tierney. Arteta is Mikel's previous manager and mentor.

The wing-backs aren't wanted by their current clubs, so a transfer would probably benefit them. CaughtOffside pundit Stan Collymore has weighed in on where he thinks the Arsenal man should go next, with Newcastle also reportedly interested in his services, according to Football Insider.

“Tierney has struggled with injuries during his career, but if he can get a handle on that he is without a doubt a top-level player,” Collymore said in an exclusive interview.

“If he went to the Etihad I think he could be to Man City what Andy Robertson is to Liverpool.”

Tierney is only 25, so if he stays healthy he may be a steal for whoever signs him. He is still many years away from his expected prime playing years.

His general level of fitness on the field is exceptional. It doesn't matter if it's the first or 90th minute, those lung-bursting sprints down the left channel are as quick as ever.

Tierney "definitely capable of being that under-the-radar type of signing that could go on to be one of the club's most reliable players,".

Tierney is only 25, so whomever contracts him may get a great deal if he can maintain his health. It will be quite some time before he reaches his potential as a player.

His overall athleticism and conditioning on the field are unparalleled. The left-channel dashes are as swift as ever, whether it's the first minute or the 90th.
