Manchester United enters the contest to outbid Liverpool for a 24-year-old player.

Mathews Nunes, a midfielder for Wolverhampton Wanderers, has been rumored to be leaving the club at the end of the current campaign.

Liverpool apparently has their sights set on the midfielder, but Football Insider reports that Manchester United has entered the bidding and hopes to steal the deal this summer.

The 24-year-old joined Wolves at the beginning of the season and has performed admirably at Molineux thus far.

Nunes might be a great addition for Manchester United as they want to strengthen their midfield. Now that he has settled here, the player has a great chance to make an early impression at Old Trafford in the upcoming season.

Compared to players like Scott McTominay, the Portuguese international would unquestionably be a significant improvement.

Jurgen Klopp will have to find suitable replacements for Liverpool players like Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who are leaving on free transfers.

Nunes appears to be a strong possibility, but whether Liverpool can beat out Manchester United for his services remains to be seen.

United have a better chance of joining the Champions League than Liverpool, which might give them an advantage in the summer market. The Red Devils also enjoy greater financial stability.

It will be intriguing to watch where the 24-year-old midfielder ends up after Wolves likely sell to the highest bidder at the end of the season.
