EPL: Guardiola names Man United star who caused 6-3 defeat to Man City

Pep Guardiola has named the very Manchester United player that contributed immensely to their 6-3 defeat to Manchester City last weekend.

The Manchester United player who made a significant contribution to their 6-3 loss to Manchester City last weekend has been revealed by Pep Guardiola.

The Man City manager asserts that his team's strategy to take advantage of Lisandro Martinez's advantageous position as the smallest defender in the Premier League was a complete success.

Manchester United had a terrible week when on Sunday they lost 6-3 at the Etihad.

For Pep Guardiola's team, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden each scored a hat-trick as they easily defeated their neighbors.

Martinez and Raphael Varane were put together by Erik ten Hag in his defense, although they struggled to stop City's strikers.

According to ESPN, Martinez was the subject of a tactical move by Guardiola.

The height of the Argentina international has received a lot of attention, but Guardiola did not look to take advantage of it; rather, Martinez would try to support Varane in dealing with Haaland and double up on the talented Norwegian.

Foden and Kevin de Bruyne were ordered by Guardiola to assault the area on the left of United's center-back pairing because Martinez should be there but would be doubling up on Haaland.

Although it would be unfair to put the humiliating loss on Martinez, it appears like Guardiola's strategy worked out wonderfully as Haaland and Foden scored six goals between them.
