VICTOR OSIMHEN MAY SUE OWN CLUB AFTER NAPOLI POST BIZARRE VIDEO ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Napoli's star striker, Victor Osimhen, is considering the option of pursuing legal action against his own club following a perplexing incident in which a video seemingly ridiculing the player was posted on TikTok by the team.

This peculiar incident unfolded shortly after Osimhen played a pivotal role in helping Napoli secure their first league title in three decades. Despite his remarkable contribution of 31 goals across all competitions, Osimhen found himself targeted by a strange video that was, subsequently, removed from Napoli's official TikTok account within a short span.

Osimhen's agent, Roberto Calenda, issued a statement addressing the matter on Tuesday night. He conveyed his dismay, stating, "The content shared today on Napoli's official TikTok platform is completely unacceptable. Initially, a video that mocked Victor was posted, and although it was subsequently removed, the damage inflicted upon the player is of grave concern. This incident compounds the challenges that Victor has endured in recent times, including unwarranted media scrutiny and the spread of false information."

Calenda emphasized, "We are reserving the right to take legal action and will explore all necessary measures to safeguard Victor's rights and reputation."

The contentious video featured a clip of Osimhen's missed penalty from the match against Bologna on Sunday, accompanied by an unusual and sped-up voiceover. While the original video was removed, recorded versions of it surfaced on Twitter and other platforms shortly thereafter. Notably, Osimhen has also removed all Instagram posts featuring him in a Napoli shirt from his account.

This bewildering social media incident follows signs of apparent tension between Osimhen and Napoli's manager, Rudi Garcia, during a recent game. In a goalless draw, Osimhen was seen expressing his frustration towards Garcia as he was substituted with just four minutes remaining.

It's worth noting that Victor Osimhen has not signed a new contract with Napoli, and his existing agreement extends until the summer of 2025.
