On Wednesday around midday, Liverpool and Bayern Munich will face off in a mouthwatering friendly at the Singapore National Stadium.

The German champions finished their Japanese tour with a 1-0 victory over Kawasaki Frontale, while Jurgen Klopp's team just thrashed Leicester City 4-0 in Kallang.
Darwin Nunez, Bobby Clark, and Diogo Jota all scored for Liverpool in the first half against their Championship opponents, and up-and-coming Scottish winger Ben Doak added another in the second, continuing Liverpool's remarkable streak of scoring four goals in every pre-season game so far this summer. That win came two months after Liverpool scored three unanswered goals against Leicester at the King Power.

The Reds scored four times in each of their two German exhibition games against Karlsruher SC and Greuther Furth, with the latter game ending in a 4-4 tie. However, few people expect the Reds to score four times against the perennial German champions.

But there are fresh faces Klopp hasn't seen before. Fabinho is getting ready to join Jordan Henderson in Saudi Arabia, while Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister quickly adjust to life in the Liverpool engine room as rumors of a transfer for Romeo Lavia swirl in the background.

Liverpool's summer exhibition period concludes on August 7 against Darmstadt 98 at Deepdale, and Klopp's men will then try to give Chelsea manager Maurizio Pochettino a rough welcome back to life in England in the Premier League opener on August 13. Wednesday's blockbuster match will be Liverpool's final friendly away from English soil.

However, Bayern's 27-0 rout of ninth-tier FC Rottach-Egern in the season opener dwarfs Liverpool's 12 goals scored in preseason, and Thomas Tuchel's squad has failed to show its supremacy in two games in Japan.

The Bavarians lost 2-1 to Manchester City on July 26, and only Josip Stanisic's second-half goal in Tokyo against J1 League powerhouses Kawasaki Frontale saved them a loss.
