After picking up an injury, Real Madrid midfielder Arda Güler will have to return home from their tour of the United States.

The Turkish international player reportedly transferred to Carlo Ancelotti's squad from Fenerbahçe for €20 million in July.
But Güler hasn't played yet for Los Blancos on their pre-season tour because of a knee injury. He will now have to miss out on training with the team.

A club statement stated that testing on player Arda Güler revealed a damage to the internal meniscus in his right knee.

"Within the next few hours, the player will fly to Madrid to continue receiving specialized treatment."

On Saturday, Madrid will travel to Arlington to take on LaLiga rivals Barcelona, who they narrowly edged out in the pursuit of Güler's signing.
