Transfer: Mbappe offered 10-year contract worth €1billion

Kylian Mbappe has been offered a staggering €1 billion (£865m/$1.1bn) deal by Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG reportedly offered Mbappe a €1 billion contract over ten years. The transaction was first reported by Defensa Central.

The France attacker would be locked into the practically lifelong contract with the Ligue 1 winners until the age of 34.

It would also set a record for the most paid athlete deal ever.

Mbappe informed the club in June that he would not be renewing his current contract, which is set to end in June of 2024.

The athlete reportedly informed PSG that he is not driven by money and would rather play for Real Madrid, where he has a chance to win every title in the sport.

PSG is prepared to make forward Kylian Mbappe an offer that has been called "mind blowing" in order to keep him.

Mbappe's contract with the Parc des Princes club expires in the summer of 2024, and the club's board is frustrated by his failure to exercise an option that would allow him to stay for another 12 months. They may even contemplate selling him this summer.
Meanwhile, PSG is reportedly trying to remove that option by offering him a hefty new deal, as reported by Defensa Central.

According to the Spanish source, the Emir of Qatar has approved PSG's offer of a "mega contract" to Mbappe. The Emir of Qatar ultimately controls the business of the club's owners, QSI.

An 11-year contract has been mentioned as part of this €1 billion agreement, which would practically bind the player to PSG for the rest of his career.

Is PSG's Mbappe transfer a no-brainer?
There have been rumours that the contract Mbappe signed in 2022 has left a huge hole in PSG's coffers, but this evidence contradicts such claims. The striker has a gross yearly salary of €70 million, with substantial incentive payments, like as a €80 million bonus payout this summer, built into his contract.

According to AS, the French club cannot afford to let the great player leave on a free transfer in the summer of 2019.

However, such a scenario is not out of the question, since Real Madrid is said to have offered the player a deal for more than €800 million.

Meanwhile, Mbappe has been very adamant about remaining at PSG this season. The teenager has been at ease during preseason training.
