Erik ten Hag expects more from the Man United star, but he will stand by him during a difficult time.

Even though Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will likely want more from Jadon Sancho, he will continue to provide support for the player during this challenging period.

Reporter Fabrizio Romano says as much in today's exclusive Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside, saying that it appears Man Utd will continue to shield Sancho despite his poor form for much of his time at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils will spend big in the summer of 2021 to sign the England international after seeing him play for Borussia Dortmund and realizing he has tremendous potential.

We know Sancho can play better than what we've seen from him in a United uniform so far, and it appears that Ten Hag will be patient with the 23-year-old as he works to restore his form.

Even though yesterday's Manchester Evening News reported that Ten Hag was growing impatient with Sancho, recent quotes from Romano cast doubt on that report.

A quote from Romano: "I'm sure Ten Hag wants more from Sancho, but he's always been supportive with Jadon, even in difficult moments like October and November.

He's eager to see Jadon succeed at the highest level, but the club is keeping a close eye on him for now. We need to protect the player's anonymity, but he's back now and he'll get another shot.
