Manchester City will play Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday to keep up with their pursuit of the Premier League title.

The guests will try to win for the second time in three games on the road, while the home team will try to keep its undefeated streak in the Premier League at eight games.
With a 3-1 road win over title rivals and previous leaders Arsenal on Wednesday night, Man City are back atop the Premier League table for the first time since early November, although due to goal differential.
At the Emirates Stadium, the Citizens only possessed 36% of the ball, the lowest for a club led by Pep Guardiola in a league game, but they capitalized on defensive mistakes from the Gunners to take all three points back to the blue side of Manchester.

After Bukayo Saka's first-half penalty kick had cancelled out Kevin De Bruyne's brilliant opener, the game was tied heading into the final 20 minutes. However, City took the lead again thanks to a deflected strike from Jack Grealish, and they would go on to win thanks to a goal from Erling Braut Haaland with eight minutes remaining, matching a Man City record set by Sergio Aguero.

City have won four of their past five league matches, while Arsenal have lost 10 points in their previous six Premier League games. Guardiola and co. are aware that Arsenal still have a game in hand, but the momentum in this exciting championship battle currently looks to be with City.

The defending champions will look back on their 6-0 triumph over the Tricky Trees at the Etihad Stadium at the end of August with good memories as they prepare for Saturday's match against Forest, the second of five consecutive away games across all categories.

The Citizens' most recent visit to the City Ground, in October 2001, was a 1-1 draw when Kevin Keegan was in command; on their previous two trips there, City won by a combined score of 3-1.

Nottingham Forest lost their first Premier League game of 2023 against Fulham, who are vying for a spot in Europe, 2-0 at Craven Cottage. This loss came after Forest had amassed 11 points during a five-game undefeated run in the league.

Two goals from Willian and Manor Solomon either side of halftime doomed the Tricky Trees to their 10th league defeat of the season, but they still have a six-point lead over 18th-placed Everton, who they will meet in a little over two weeks.

This is good news for Steve Cooper's squad, since they have earned 75 percent of their Premier League points at home (five wins, three draws) this season.

Forest have gone seven games without losing in front of their home supporters in the league, picking up points against teams like Liverpool and Chelsea along the way. Their last home league loss was a 3-2 loss to Fulham on September 16.

Now, Forest must try to halt Man City in their tracks, a formidable assignment given that they have lost their past seven Premier League meetings versus City by a combined score of 29-3.
