ASUU strike: Salaries

The Gombe ASUU has pledged to withhold the results of their students over payment of salaries

 

In the event that the government does not release the salaries that were withheld for members of the union during the time that they were on strike, the Gombe State University chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities has stated that it will withhold the examination results of students and will discontinue the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate projects. In addition, the union has stated that it will withhold the results of students' examinations.

On Thursday, the union issued a statement in which they made this information public and made it available to our correspondent.
The statement, which was signed by the chairman of the branch, Suleiman Jauro, read in part as follows: "The Congress of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Gombe State University branch, at its meeting held today, Wednesday 2nd November 2022, received the report of the engagements between the branch's leadership and the University administration over the release of the withheld salaries."
