Though the voice sounded harmless , she couldn't just believe a voice but before she could run a figure appeared from the bush nearby pleading with her to wait " Am so sorry I startled you I just wanted to introduce myself I mean no harm" he said , but Kelechi was too scared to look up at him , but he kept assuring her that he was harmless and she finally had the confidence to look up at him and what she saw made her dumbfounded, for he was very handsome, ebony black in complexion, with white set of teeth and great built . Seeing how handsome he was and also being a stranger, made her more worried and she was about to flea but he saw the look on her face which was first filled with fear then shock and confusion and fear again, he knew she was about to run again so he stopped her and said " My name is Emeka I come in peace so please do not be afraid of me " seeing her finally calmed a little he said "I happened to see you dance and I just wanted to come out and meet with you for you are the most amazing dancer I have ever seen " and this statement of his earned a surprised look from her, she stared at him looking more surprised , Emeka knew he had held the poor girl on suspense enough to he began to narrate how he saw her . While he went to check his traps , he heard someone sobbing and it was so heartbreaking, he traced the sound and saw a beautiful maiden crying bitterly , but suddenly, she stood up and started dancing in ways he hadn't seen before, quickly the sadness on her face soon disappear and her face was filled with joy and contentment and from that day, he made sure to always wait to watch her dance .

Kelechi knew it was wrong to talk to strangers but she felt comfortable talking to him for some reasons she couldn't understand, so she  told him of her present predicament. Emeka understood and felt pity for her, he loved her dancing and wanted to spend time with her so he proposed a suggestion that would be beneficial for both of them which was for her to dance for him and she will be paid. Kelechi was surprised, she didn't expect this , she felt happy that she could earn money to save her brother's life but there was one problem, who could she dance for some one without music ? , although she has been dancing in the forest without any music but this was different for she had an audience, Emeka assured her that he will drum for her and that settles everything, he paid her for dancing for him all this while and she was dumbfounded by the amount he gave her. 

 Things became better at home , her brother was now well and there was enough food in the house . Her parents questioned her about the money she keeps bringing home and she told them that it was from working . Soon the bond between Kelechi and Emeka grew and they knew they have fallen in love with each other, she began to spend most of her time in the forest dancing, talking and playing with Emeka. But she became curious about his identity for she had never seen him in the village and she knows nothing about his background but whenever she asks, he keeps reassuring her that she will soon know . Emeka has never met a girl as decent as her, although she was poor, she was never greedy, she was kind, gentle and lovely so he knew he had to make her his wife and soon  proposed marriage to her which she was happy about but couldn't accept for she knew nothing about him, " I don't know where you came from and who you are , although I love you, you are still a stranger to me. How can I tell my father that I know nothing about the man I want to marry, I keep asking you about ur identity but you keep refusing" she sadly but Emeka assured her that they will soon get married and her father will be more than willing to give her hand out in marriage to him.

  At the king's palace , the king is  sitting on his throne when his son ,the crown prince and heir to the throne came to announce his intentions of getting married and after much discussion the marriage was finalized. The marriage between Kelechi and Prince Emeka because the talk of the village for no one expected that Kelechi the daughter of a poor man will attract the attention of the crown prince, Kelechi has lifted the status of her family forever that was what was on the mouth of the villagers . Kelechi was surprised for she didn't know that Emeka was a prince all long and then she recalled what Emeka told her when he said her father will be more than happy to give her away, certainly her parents was over joyous about the turn of events  . Therefore they got married and lived happily ever after .
