Chelsea ready to sign Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if Barcelona allow both players to leave

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Frenkie De Jong could be on their way to Chelsea

If Barcelona permits Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to leave this month, Chelsea is prepared to sign both players.

De Jong was signed by Manchester United for a £72 million deal last month, but he is still due £17 million in delayed pay and won't consent to leave until that money is paid. Barcelona is willing to let him stay, but only if he accepts a substantial pay reduction and a £6 million payment for his postponed earnings.
Chelsea is willing to match United's bid of £72 million, and unlike United, they can provide De Jong access to the Champions League.

In January, Aubameyang left Arsenal for Barcelona on a free transfer. His contract has three more years to run. Thomas Tuchel is eager to reunite with Aubameyang, who scored 79 goals for him in two seasons at Borussia Dortmund, despite his reluctance to discuss him in public.
Chelsea is getting more and more optimistic that they can reach an agreement to sign Leicester defender Wesley Fofana, and they are planning a third bid. Tuchel's top objective this month is to buy a center-back and a forward. Leicester does not want to sell Fofana, but it would be impossible for them to reject a bid of about £80 million.

Cesare Casadei, a 19-year-old midfielder, is being sought by Inter Milan from Chelsea for £12 million, despite the fact that he has not yet made an appearance for Inter Milan's first squad.

Chelsea will be investing on players for the now and the future this summer. They spent £20 million last week to acquire 18-year-old midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa. They also acquired 18-year-old winger Omari Hutchinson from Arsenal and goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina from Chicago Fire.
Many people who are familiar with Aubameyang would agree that they have nothing bad to say about the way he conducts himself, except that he occasionally arrives late, not that he intentionally disrupts or attempts to break the rules.

"It's simply a part of his personality; he may be a little showy. And he had a good deal of popularity in the changing area.

I recognize that Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, was attempting to establish a culture of excellence and that he couldn't tolerate anyone, particularly the captain and a senior member of the team, constantly breaking the rules.

"He had to take a position there, and he decided to go with a younger group to do so.

"Thomas Tuchel has previously stated that he only had positive recollections of the player and that he relished their time spent together.

"Jurgen Klopp has also referred to him as a superb player who is kind and charming.

"For Chelsea, it makes sense."

Man Utd work on all midfield options

De Jong has been chased by Manchester United all summer

While this has been going on, Manchester United has been working on all of their midfield alternatives since it has been difficult to complete a deal for De Jong.

There is still hope that a deal can be reached and United has not given up on de Jong. All summer long, United has prioritized the position of central midfield, and they have a wide agreement in principle to buy Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot. It has not been ruled out to sign both Rabio and De Jong.
