BUKAYO SAKA SIGNS NEW LONG-TERM DEAL WITH ARSENAL

Arsenal's offensive threat Bukayo Saka has re-upped with his childhood club till 2027.

The Gunners' 21-year-old star has emerged as a key cog this season and has been rewarded with a new contract as a result.

Saka was honored as the Premier League's March Player of the Month. The most recent London Football Awards also recognized him as the Young Player of the Year.

The forward has been shortlisted for the Premier League's Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season awards.

Saka achieved the Premier League's first ever double-digit goal and assist total this season. The Englishman has scored 13 times and assisted on 11 more in the league.

The winger was the team's star as Arsenal chased Manchester City for the championship. The Cityzens even considered trading for him.

Saka's previous deal was set to finish after the 2019 season. He's made a lifelong commitment to the company and is now one of their top earners.

His weekly pay is said to be over £200,000, which is indicative of his significance to the team. Since joining the first team in November 2018, he has improved steadily.

Edu, Arsenal's sporting director, said of the team's efforts to extend Bukayo's contract: "It has been so enjoyable to work with everyone."

We're all really proud of Bukayo and his incredible rise through the club's youth system to the professional ranks.

We're excited to share the next chapter of Bukayo's career with him since he's become one of the top young players in the game.

After re-signing Saka, Arsenal will focus on keeping their current roster together. William Saliba's contract is set to expire next year, therefore they are attempting to negotiate an extension.

After an impressive campaign, Martin Odegaard should also be considered for a contract extension.

The Gunners will also aim to avoid letting Reiss Nelson go for free at the conclusion of the season. They want him to renew once his contract ends on June 30.
