Osimhen moves closer to bumper Napoli bonus

After scoring 28 goals in every match for the Serie A champions, Victor Osimhen is just two goals away from receiving his third achievement bonus from Napoli this year.

Osimhen received an extra reward for hitting 20 goals, and he received an additional reward for hitting his 25th goal. With only three matches remaining in the calendar year, Osimhen requires two more goals to earn an additional reward under his deal with the Serie A club.

In the meantime, the already-crowned Serie A champions suffered their fourth defeat of the season Sunday, falling 2-0 away to Monza in a Week 35 meeting.

If Osimhen scores 30 goals in all tournaments for Napoli, he will receive 130,000 Euros.

In addition, the FIFA U17 World Cup milestone goal scorer is on the brink of becoming the first African to take home the Serie A goal scoring title, as he leads the league with 23 goals, one more than Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez, who has 20.

In an associated incident, Chelsea's desire to signing the Nigerian this summer has apparently waned.

The 24-year-old's career is now up in the air, with an array of top clubs across the world reportedly interested in signing him in the forthcoming transfer window.

Chelsea has been strongly associated with Osimhen, with Manchester United, Bayern Munich, as well as Paris Saint-Germain also thought to be interested.

As reported by Football Insider, Chelsea presently considers a transfer for Osimhen to be tough, plus the club has so reduced their curiosity in the Nigeria international.

With a poor season that has left them in 11th place in the Premier League table, the London club will be unlikely to provide Champions League football to possible new arrivals for the coming season.

Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, just recently stated that Osimhen wasn't going to be quitting the Italian club during summertime under any conditions.

According to a recent source, the 2022-23 Serie A champions will definitely entertain offers in the range of €160 million (£139.7 million).
