Sky Sports reporter believes Man United defender has saved Old Trafford career.

Reporter Dharmesh Sheth from Sky Sports thinks Aaron Wan-Bissaka has rescued his career at Manchester United.

Sky Sports reporter believes Man United defender has saved Old Trafford career: Wan-Bissaka, 25, was signed for £45 million from Crystal Palace in 2019 (Sky Sports), and despite being one of the club's most regular starters under former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he quickly found his place in the starting lineup under threat after the arrival of Erik Ten Hag last summer.

Wan-Bissaka's apparent demotion from the starting lineup to the bench in favor of the more offensive Diogo Dalot fueled rumors that the former Crystal Palace right-back would be traded during the upcoming January transfer window.

After failing to secure a transfer away from the 20-time league winners and being forced to play in place of Dalot, who missed 19 games between October and January due to a groin injury (Transfermarkt), Wan-Bissaka has seen a dramatic improvement in his status.

Sheth told GiveMeSport that the Red Devils should keep the 25-year-old London-born full-back because he has continued to be one of the team's most relied-up defenders and has had a decent season overall with improvements to his attacking game.

At the beginning of the season, "we were looking at a situation where he wasn't getting a game at all, lots of talks about him leaving in January," Sheth said.

Wan-Bissaka may have profited from the World Cup and the injury to [Diogo] Dalot, as well as from the fact that he was able to practice with United's Erik Ten Hag while the rest of his team was away at the World Cup.

Wan-Bissaka is under no immediate pressure from United because his contract runs through 2024 and includes a club option for an additional year. But I believe that he has turned around his career there under the guidance of Erik ten Hag.

Wan-Bissaka has played in 154 games across all competitions during his first four years at Old Trafford, contributing to two goals and eleven assists.
