Words of Caution from Erik ten Hag

We begin today with a warning from Erik ten Hag, who says his players must demonstrate hunger and passion if they want to keep their spots on the team.

If his players don't show the intensity and hunger he demands, Ten Hag has threatened to cut them from the Manchester United roster.

Ten Hag still has to remind his squad of the standards required as they prepare to face Thomas Frank's side at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, nearly eight months after a 4-0 humiliation at Brentford plunged him into an early-season crisis.

United lost 2-0 on the road to Newcastle on Sunday, knocking them out of the Premier League's top four and into fifth place. The Dutchman admitted that his team had "returned to old habits" in the loss.

Those on the field who don't give 100% effort "are in the wrong place," according to Ten Hag.

Erik ten Hag has threatened his players with extinction if they do not play with the intensity and hunger he demands of them for Manchester United.
