Tomorrow's match between Newcastle and West Ham will not feature a $35.5 million player

Gianluca Scamacca has been ruled out of Wednesday night's match against Newcastle for West Ham.

West Ham manager David Moyes stated during a press conference that the Italian will not return to action this week and will be sidelined for an additional two weeks.

Moyes stated regarding Scamacca via The Shields Gazette, "It's essentially the same squad as Sunday. Gianluca Scamacca will undergo two weeks of rehabilitation on his knee, which is the only piece of news.

We do not believe that he requires surgery, but we will assess his condition in two weeks.

The 24-year-old has not played a match since January. His season has not gone as planned. The former Sassuolo player, who arrived in the summer for £35.5 million with great fanfare, has failed to make the desired impact, scoring only three Premier League goals so far this season.
